| dc.description.abstract | El autor, apoyándose en la metodología etnohistórica y etnográfica, analiza la percepción y representación que tienen de su historia los habitantes de Palmarito, Estado Mérida y Gibraltar, Estado Zulia, asimismo expone cómo construyen su identidad etnocultural los moradores de estas poblaciones, finalmente aborda lo relacionado con el proceso de reetnización y reivindicación de las comunidades afrodescendientes en la actualidad en Venezuela, estableciendo un vínculo entre el pasado y el presente. El tema desarrollado resulta de gran pertinencia social, pues se interpreta la manera cómo se conciben a sí mismos (mismidad) y a los otros (otredad) los pobladores de Palmarito y Gibraltar, lo cual tiene un valor positivo tanto para la academia como para los afrodescendientes de la zona, ya que estos últimos pueden aprovechar los resultados del estudio para reafirmar su identidad etnocultural, además el tema de la historia y la identidad de los pueblos de origen africano, actualmente, adquiere gran relevancia para la antropología venezolana. | es_VE |
| dc.description.abstract1 | The author, based on the ethnohistorical and ethnographic methodology, analyzes the perception and representation of the inhabitants of Palmarito, Mérida State and Gibraltar, Zulia State, of their history, and also exposes how the residents of these populations construct their ethnocultural identity, finally addresses what related to the process of re-ethnicization and vindication of Afro-descendant communities currently in Venezuela, establishing a link between the past and the present. The theme developed is of great social relevance, because it is interpreted the way they conceive themselves (sameness) and others (otherness) the people of Palmarito and Gibraltar, which has a positive value for both the academy and for people of African descent of the zone, since these last ones can take advantage of the results of the study to reaffirm their ethnocultural identity, in addition the subject of the history and the identity of the peoples of African origin, at the moment, acquires great relevance for the Venezuelan anthropology. | es_VE |
